What is retrocative duration in medical malpractice insurance?

A retroactive date is the date from which you have held uninterrupted medical malpractice insurance coverage (even if you changed insurer during this time) or a date in the past from which your insurer has agreed to cover you. Any claims that arise from events prior to this date is not covered by your insurance.

And as per Insurance Authority's regulation: In case the Policy being issued by a new Company or being renewed by the current company with interruption not more than 14 calendar days then the whole duration will be considered uninterrupted and the date of the retroactive will go all the way back to the start date of the uninterrupted duration.

Is the retroactive coverage free ?

If the interruption duration is not more than 14 calendar days then it will be compulsory on the insurance company to cover that duration, else it will be optional for the insurance company to provide it with additional cost.

What is ERP (Extended Reporting Period)?

Extended Reporting Period: the benefit, which provides the Insured with an extended period to report any Claims occurring during the Policy period, which start from the expiry date of the Policy or the date of cancelation till the end of the Extended Reporting Period.

There are other factors that affect the price of the policy as well, such as the presence of previous claims or accidents caused by the owner or driver of the vehicle.

What are the consequences of entering incorrect data?

According to the statutes and regulations of the Saudi Insurance Authority, and in reference to the unified policy for compulsory insurance issued by the Saudi Insurance Authority, it states that if it has been proven that the insured person has made incorrect statements or concealed substantial facts, the insurance company retains the right of getting back to the insured person. The insurance policy is therefore not valid.

Is it possible to purchase an insurance policy with an expired national ID or residence card?

No, that can not be done, you must renew your ID card first.

What is the "document start date?

It is the date of commencement of the insurance policy (commencement of insurance coverage). The commencement of the insurance coverage can not be on the same day as the insurance application, but at least one day from the date of the insurance application and up to a maximum of (14) days.

What is meant by "valid documents" that appear when entering my account on Tameeni website?
